And it doesn't work.
We are relational beings, and it is possible to engage our stakeholders in a better way.

By profession, I've come from an IT and project management background, working in both the public and private sectors.

In 1993, I joined the UK Government's team to produce what eventually became PRINCE2(r), the most used project management method in the world. In 2007, I was one of the co-authors of Managing Successful Programmes(r), personally authoring chapters on Principles, Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement, Benefits Realisation and the Business Case. In 2014 I was a contributing author to the Change Management Institute's definitive core reference: The Effective Change Manager's Handbook. So you could say my familiarity with project and change management approaches runs pretty deep.
